Coach Highlight: Anel Pajazetovic

Our assistant coach, looking after girls, making sure the rondos are on point and improving player technical ability during their time at Herkimer is Anel Pajazetovic. Anel, the hardest working man in the State of New York in and around soccer balances helping everyone from players to coaches to staff at Herkimer with his role as head coach at the high school level, the president of local club United Elite Krajisnik FC, a full time job and a family. Anel is an incredible resource for our team with a massive amount of experience not only organizing and coaching but from his own playing experience as well.

Anel Pajazetovic is a soccer coach, nonprofit leader, and community advocate with over a decade of experience developing players at the youth, high school, club, academy, and semi-professional levels. His coaching journey began at the grassroots level, where he focused on creating positive, disciplined environments that emphasize both player development and personal growth.

As President of United Elite Krajisnik FC, Anel oversees a nonprofit soccer organization serving boys and girls throughout Central and Upstate New York. Under his leadership, the club has expanded to include youth academy, and semi-professional programs, along with after school initiatives, free community camps, and scholarship supported opportunities for athletes from low income families. He is also the Manager of the Western New York UPSL Academy League, helping build affordable, competitive pathways for clubs and players.

Anel is known for his hands-on leadership and willingness to serve in any role coach, mentor, organizer, or advocate whenever the community needs it. His work is driven by a belief that soccer is more than a game, it is a tool for mentorship, leadership development, and community building. Through partnerships with schools, local organizations, and businesses, Anel continues to create access, opportunity, and long term impact for athletes on and off the field.
